The prequel to the smash hit Escanaba in 'da Moonlight, one of Circle's most acclaimed productions in its 56 year history.
The brand new play brings a touching, romantic comedy element to the rugged hunter-humor of Michigan's favorate yooper family. As deer hunting season arrives, the Soady men meet their biggest challenge: not a great buck or a hunter's dream, but the camp's first female visitor. Escanaba In Love premiered last year at the The Purple Rose Theatre in Daniels' home of Chelsea, Michigan, before transferring to The Gem Theatre in Detroit. Circle's production of this play will be the first production in the country allowed by Daniels following his initial staging.
